CFIQ announces board of governors for 2024–2025, elects Marie Brault as chair
September 16, 2024 (Montreal) – The Conseil des fonds d’investissement du Québec (CFIQ) is pleased to announce its board of governors for 2024-2025.
Marie Brault has been elected as the board’s chair for the first time, after serving as second vice-chair for more than two years. She is Vice-President, Governance, Investments and NBI Legal Affairs, National Bank of Canada. Maxime Gauthier, who is CEO and Chief Compliance Officer at Merici Services Financiers, was elected as second vice-chair.
CFIQ also welcomes two new board governors this year: Patrick Landucci, Regional VP, Eastern Canada at Manulife Investment Management, and Patrice Nzigamasabo, Vice President, National Accounts and Institutional at Capital Group.
“I am honoured to take on the role of chair of the CFIQ board of governors and am excited about working with our talented board and leadership team to help drive the success of Quebec’s investment funds industry,” said Marie Brault. “The board looks forward to continuing to support CFIQ’s mandate with the ultimate objective of helping investors achieve their financial goals.”
Andy Mitchell, President and CEO of the Investment Funds Institute of Canada, remains on the board as first vice-chair.
CFIQ’s governors would like to thank Eric Hallé for his dedicated service as chair over the last three years. Mr. Hallé will stay on the board as a governor.
